Bob Prescott is an actor, musician, director, designer, and manager based in Chicago. Bob received his undergraduate degree in Theatre Management from Ball State University. While there, he was a board member of Busted Space Theatre Company, a student-run group within the Department of Theatre and Dance which focused on fostering new theatrical work as well as pushing the boundaries with productions of existing pieces. He was also an active member of the service fraternity Alpha Psi Omega.

His proudest accomplishment is his work with Jennifer Blackmer and The Virginia B. Ball Center for Creative Inquiry to research and develop an original bluegrass musical titled The Liar’s Bench. Following the historical writing of folklorist Dillon Bustin and the work of photographer Frank Hohenberger, the musical was based on the real citizens of Brown County, Indiana during the 1920s. As well as performing in the finished reading and being a member of the collaborative writing team, Bob led Marketing and Event Planning for the seminar.

While in Chicago, Bob has worked with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Stage 773, and Waltzing Mechanics. He continues to strive to make sure that theatre is an accessible and comfortable space for all, regardless of class, race, gender or sexual orientation.

We bring the show to you.
