Waltzing Mechanics

Chicago's Home for Documentary Theatre

Join us.

Waltzing Mechanics is building up our team of documentarians and we want you to join us.  We're a company dedicated to producing high quality, thought provoking documentary theatre in an atmosphere of collegiality, cooperation, and collaboration.  We are looking for people from a wide variety of cultural and professional backgrounds: scientists, journalists, activists, anthropologists, entrepreneurs, designers, actors, and artists, just to name a few.  If you have a thirst to create stories about our world and the people in it, we want to hear from you.
Company members are asked to make artistic contributions to the company (such as developing a new project, acting in a performance, contributing to the design, etc.) each year.  They are also expected to provide some service to the company each year, which can include anything from helping with fundraising and grant writing to tending bar or house managing.
If you're interested, please fill out the form below.  We'll be in touch soon!
